The Eternal return

5-6-7-8 oct 2017 - Sophiensaele Berlin
"Your whole life, like a sandglass, will always be reversed and will ever run out again, - a long minute of time will elapse until all those conditions out of which you were evolved return in the wheel of the cosmic process." (F. Nietzsche)

Inspired by the short film 'Tango' by the Polish director Zbigniew Rybszynski, "The Eternal Return" features 15 performers in a small room - where all actions culminate in one moment and take place in an eternal return. The choreography, based on the repetition of short quotidian sequences, juxtaposes itself in the gradual accumulation of performers who, from 1 to 15, add up in this reduced space and form a multitude of unexpected ties as their numbers increase. In each loop, the individual actions combine to form a new ensemble. A complex mechanism unfolds that opens the space for new references and narratives. A kaleidoscope of everyday life, humorous and yet serious, develops on stage, gaining something new through each repetition.
